About Me Hello! My name is Mrs. Woods, or you can call me Sheree (pronounced Shayree) :). I was born and raised in the small town of Sebastopol, California. As a kid, I used to love climbing apple trees, riding bikes with friends and waterskiing during the summertime with my family. I graduated from Sac State with my Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology & Audiology and then moved to southern California to complete my Master's degree at Whittier College in 1991. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of settings as a speech-language pathologist. When I was first starting out I worked with many preschoolers. In both public schools, hospitals and private practices, I continued to specialize in working with kids in sunny Northern CA. Then, we moved to Oregon for about six years- long enough to build 6-foot-tall snowmen, catch a ton of frogs in the rain and raise some squirrels with our young children. Eventually, new employment, changing needs of our two growing girls, as well as the desire to be closer to loved ones brought us back to California. (Sometimes, I still truly miss the incredible beauty of Oregon!)
Change brings new adventures...Our travels now take us to Wyoming- Go Pokes!, or you might see me around Del Oro with our Senior child! Currently, when I am not laughing with and teaching kids speech or language strategies, you might find me in my garden, walking my dog, listening to music or scheming a way to get to the ocean for a walk on the beach. I continue to enjoy my roles as wife and mother. I love children of all ages and I am honored to work in a helping profession as your Speech-Language Pathologist. |
